Meek Mill recently ushered in another year of living, and although the Philly rap star has accomplished so much in such a short period of time, he also had to learn the hard way of the old adage, “mo money, mo problems.”

As he and Monster 24K celebrated the 2014 NFL Draft, Milly had a premonition of struggle and begin to see the glass half-full for a brief second. He had just lost his lawsuit against the Philadelphia Police Department over their boxing him in force him to miss out on money and the terms of his probation also continue to stifle his maneuvers.

“When you famous and get caught up in the system….. They never wanna let you go it’s like they wanna keep U around 2 have a story 2 tell!,” he began. “Can’t move outta philly due 2 probation..So when I’m here it will only lead me 2 hang n the hood where I grew up..And that’s what they want. And most of the time it’s a black person Tryna bring another black down…Just 2 say I’m the one who locked him up or messed up his career.”

Meek concluded his moment of clarity by vowing to work harder than ever to prove his oppressors wrong as he preps his Dreamchasers 3 project.

Hit the gallery to see his statement in full as well as him hanging out with the NFL Draft’s #1 pick, Jadeveon Clowney. It’s not so bad, after all.
