When we think of Young Thug, only one word comes to mind — polarizing. Whether you adore or abhor the bubbling rapper is a personal thing, but his star is rising and will surely continue to do so after the Complex magazine cover revealed today.

Under Birdman’s tutelage, we’ve seen Thugga make a few power move awhile delivering new material seemingly every few days. The irony of the cover  story is that it dons very few quotes from the Atlanta native. Instead, constituents like producers Dun Deal and Metro Boomin spoke of their experiences with Thug.

The latter spoke on the rap star’s incessant song releases. “It got to the point where we were like, ‘Man, we just can’t give all this music out for free like this,'” Metro said. However, a great portion of the Thug songs circulating the Internets aren’t coming from the camp.

“Thug releases a lot of music, but you gotta understand it’s not really him though,” Metro continued. “Now that he’s hot there’s a bunch of people that had songs just doing lame shit, putting it on their mixtapes and putting it out. Thug knows about it, but a lot of that is not on his behalf. It is what it is.”
