Former NBA number one draft pick Joe Smith never panned out to be the star most thought he’d be. Now retired at  38-years-old, he’s picked up rapping as a trade and has a little message for Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling on a song called “Unity.”

Reports TMZ:

Ever since Smith called it quits from the NBA in 2011, he’s been focusing on pursuing a rap career — and even started his own label, Nova Unit Records.

So, when we saw the former Lakers player out in L.A. yesterday — he flexed his skills by droppin’ a verse about the NBA’s biggest villain … complete with a dis involving the most famous sorcerer of all time … and it’s pretty damn awesome.

While we won’t coin Smith’s rhymes as “awesome” per se, they’re definitely not as bad as other would-be NBA rappers. Peep his bars in the clip below.
