During his career as a player, he reigned supreme as a five-time NBA MVP, a nine-time NBA champion, and a 12-time All-Star. He would later take the job as player-coach of the Celtics to replace the then-retiring Red Auerbach in 1966. After taking home two titles, he would cap his resume with a total number of 11 championships.
