A portion of the rapper-fan relationship is predicated on the artist’s journey from point A to point B. That said, it’s dope to hear newcomer Malik Ferraud’s progression, especially when it’s on soothing tracks like “Changes.”

Personally, any cut that samples Bob James’ classic “Feel Like Making Love” is destined to win in my opinion. And that’s without mentioning the nuanced rhymes that Ferraud kicks on the record. “I know what it’s like to lose hope when you can’t believe/ It’s a shame/ That’s why I set my aim/ To inspire anybody who can’t seem to explain/ The reason things happen this way/ If only everyone could have a say,” he raps.

Produced by Black Diamond, “Changes” will appear on Malik Ferraud’s upcoming, yet-to-be titled LP. Stream it below.
