Few MCs can actually go toe-to-toe with Lupe Fiasco if the rubric is pure rhyming ability. The veteran spitter speaks for a greater purpose these days, but he offered up a hearty reminder to his competition while freestyling on the Sway in the Morning show.

The term freestyle doesn’t have the same connotation as it once did in most cases, because a scarce amount of rappers can effectively rap off the top of the dome. Fiasco, however, knows no other way. At his command, the DJ played a groovy instrumental, and after the smoke cleared, the Chicago native had blazed the microphone for four minutes.

Peep how Sway and Hit-Boy react in the footage of Lupe Fiasco’s dynamic freestyle below. Also be sure to support weareonamission.org, a campaign that promotes cancer awareness and fights to find a cure.
