Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan is in critical condition after his limo bus was overturned in a multiple vehicle accident that left one dead in New Jersey earlier today (June 7).

Best known for his starring roles on 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, Morgan is said to have been traveling with six others in the limo bus, which may have been rear-ended by a tractor trailer. “The limo bus is the only vehicle that overturned,” Gregory Williams, a New Jersey State Police spokesman, told CNN.

He continued, “Looks like one of the tractor-trailers may have rear-ended that limo bus, but that’s preliminary at this time.”

Morgan, 45, and three other passengers were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where they’re listed in critical condition. A fourth is said to be in fair condition, while the remaining two were not injured.

Morgan was traveling on the “Turn it Funny” stand-up comedy tour. He performed at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Del. last night (June 6), and he was slated to step onstage at the Fillmore Charlotte in North Carolina tonight.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
