Veteran celebrity gossip comedian Joan Rivers has been a longtime archenemy of the Kardashian family and she’s channeling the energy of her plastic persona to spite their newest honorary member.

Kanye West.

Rivers has a new memoir–Diary of a Mad Diva–where she uses one of Kanye West’s most banal statements against him.

Page Six is reporting that the book opens up with the paraphrased Kanye quote, “Sometimes people write novels and they just be so self-absorbed … I am a proud nonreader of books.” And on the following page, the impact of the jab is felt as she writes, “This book be dedicated to Kanye West, because he’ll never f*****g read it.”

The actual quote is actually derived from two parts of the 2009 book Thank You And You’re Welcome, which West co-wrote with J. Sakiya Sandifer. They read in full as, “Sometimes people write novels and they just be so wordy and so self-absorbed. I am not a fan of books. I would never want a book’s autograph” and “I am a proud non-reader of books. I like to get information from doing stuff like actually talking to people and living real life.”

In January of this year, Rivers went out-of-pocket and took a swipe at Kanye’s six-month-old daughter who he birthed with Kim Kardashian saying, “That baby is ugly; I’ve never seen a six-month-old so desperately in need of a waxing,”

Rivers’ book will be released nationwide on July 1 through Berkley Hardcover.
