YG delivered a proper summer soundtrack for West Coast in his debut, My Krazy Life, but there’s apparently more to come. A song called “Block Party,” produced by Cookin Soul, releases with news that it’ll appear on an upcoming collaborative project from the Compton rapper and rising Bay Area spitter Blanco.

Ladden with funk-inspired horns and a groovy bass line, this cut has summer BBQ written all over it. The California duo receive assistance from fellow spitter DB The General, who makes the cypher complete with a closing verse. And yes, the song’s chorus is a Tupac Shakur sample.

Needless to say that it’ll be interesting to hear what else is to come from the body of work. It also helps to know that Cookin Soul handle all of the production. More news on YG and Blanco’s music is on the way, but stream “Block Party” below in the mean time.
