This past week saw the return of G-Unit, all of whom reunited during 50 Cent’s set at Summer Jam 2014. Following suit is Capone-N-Noreaga, who recently announced their re-signing to Penalty, 17 years after their debut album The War Report. Earlier in the year, we also got to see Dip Set join forces for A-Trak and Cam’ron’s “DipSh*ts” video, which set the Internet ablaze with rumors of a third album (because a single freebie is mere tidbits for a starving fan base). We hope this trend we’re seeing of rap crews coming back together for the love of music is an enduring one. Long enough to see the groups we’ve listed release an album. High hopes, we know.
