HS87’s We The Plug compilation album is getting a lot of love, but the clique isn’t done yet. It appears that Kent M$ney will be next to impact on the solo tip, as he debuts his new song, “State Of Emergency,” featuring Big Hit.
An active instrumental matches the track’s title to a tee. Kent’s mellow delivery is the only thing calming about the cut. But that’s not to say that the West Coast wordsmith’s wordplay isn’t impressive. “Tears wave, we don’t see tragedy in the mourn/ We just saw a better way, and found salary in the scorn,” he spits over the organized calamity.
Credit the sonics to producers Hit-Boy and Haze Banga.
