Those in the know have been bumping Apollo Brown’s Thirty Eight LP since it release in April. Today, one of its standout instrumentals, “Shotguns In Hell,” gets extra life courtesy of rap veteran Roc Marciano.

The Long Island native has an incomparable way of elaborating his street tales on record. To the untrained ear, Marciano’s bars could sound clumsy, but they’re actually contrived to a tee and laden with detail. “Heavyweight rap/ Ajax, stables of ax/ Rocking Black Label hats, gators, and slacks/ I’m like a famous mack,” he rhymes on the slow tempo cut.

The chorus features distorted vocals from Nas’ “It Ain’t Hard To Tell.” Hear a pair of Roc Marciano verses on Apollo Brown’s “Shotguns In Hell” below.
