R&B legend Bobby Womack has passed aways. He was 70-years-old.

Reportedly, the singer passed away yesterday (June 27) in his sleep.

TMZ reports that Womack suffered from multiple health problems, including diabetes, pneumonia and colon cancer.

Through the years Womack’s catalog has been frequently sampled by Hip-Hop acts including Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Big K.R.I.T. Recently, Rick Ross expressed his desire to collaborate with Womack.

Perhaps Womack’s most popular hit is “Across 110th Street,” taken from from a soundtrack of the same name in 1972.

Rest In Power Bobby Womack.
