A pair of University of Miami football players have been arrested and charged with sexual battery of a minor after admitting to taking advantage of a 17-year-old girl. The incident took place over the weekend at a campus dorm, and it appears the victim was drugged with a narcotic of some sort according to the police reports.

Linebackers Alex Figueroa and JaWand Blue, both 20, were arrested Tuesday morning by Coral Gables police after it was discovered they got the girl drunk early July 5 and performed sexual acts without her consent. According the reports, Figueroa and Blue either gave the victim an intoxicating substance or someone known to them then, and the pair had their way with the girl.

More from Miami Herald:

According to the report, Blue and Figueroa administered or had knowledge of someone else administering to the victim a narcotic, anesthetic or other intoxicating substance that mentally or physically incapacitated the victim without her prior knowledge or consent. Police said the victim was physically helpless to resist.

On Tuesday morning, Blue and Figueroa admitted to police they bought and provided several alcoholic beverages for the victim before bringing her back to Figueroa’s dorm room. They admitted to performing sexual acts on her without her consent, the report said. Both were immediately arrested and transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Figueroa was also charged with having a fake driver’s license.

A spokeswoman for Miami-Dade Corrections said Blue and Figueroa were in the process of bonding out of jail Tuesday for $10,000 and $15,000, respectively. Miami-Dade state attorney’s office spokesman Ed Griffith said both were scheduled to be arraigned in front of Judge Maria Elena Verde on July 29.

As stated  by the university’s athletic director, Figueroa and Blue have been dismissed from the school. The victim was a student at the university as well.
