A man in Texas killed his ex-wife’s family Wednesday (July 9) evening police say. Ronald Lee Haskell has been charged in the slayings of a married couple and their four children. “[He] gathered up the children that were here and awaited the arrival of the parents,” Houston Police Dept. Constable Ron Hickman said. “He had tied them face down, asking them about where his wife was. They did not know. He then shot all seven of them execution-style in the back of the head.”

Haskell, 33, traveled from Utah to Texas in search of his ex-wife. His former niece answered the door upon his initial visit to the house yesterday. He was reportedly dressed as a Fed Ex employee and left the first time because the teen said her parents weren’t home. He returned a short time later, at which point the girl recognized him and tried to close the door. Haskell kicked the door in and held the family hostage.

The adult victims have been identified as Stephen and Katie Stay, along with their two sons ages 4 and 14 and two girls ages 7 and 9. Cassidy, the teen that answered the door, is the lone survivor of the shooting massacre. The 15-year-old survived by playing dead, and called 911 for help.

Haskell was arrested after a three-hour standoff with police. See photos in the gallery below.
