One of the hottest MCs to emerge from Detroit in the last few years is burgeoning rapper Kid Vishis. The younger brother of Slaughterhouse veteran Royce Da 5’9”, Vishis forayed into Hip-Hop circa 2007, with a 27-track opus titled Vishis Is Me (The Sick Em Mixtape Vol. 1). He might be Royce’s little brother, but his rhymes never fall short.

After years of appearing on his old kin’s tapes, Vishis is coming out from under and liberating his long-awaited and aptly-titled debut album, Timing Is Everything. Like the amateur boxer who has to be in tip-top condition at weigh-in, the hungry wordsmith is getting ready to prove why he can go toe to toe with today’s heavyweights.

Timing Is Everything is the culmination of years of diligent work and commitment to Vishis’ craftsmanship. It will simultaneously prove to be a landmark release as it marks his proper entry into the game. To thoroughly demonstrate his skills and authority, Vishis chooses to hold down the album solo. Only on the last track before the LP closes out does he incorporate some much-needed poetics from his closest comrade and longtime mentor, Royce Da 5’9″.

With a recent cosign from Eminem himself, and an extensive catalog of original music still waiting to erupt from the vaults, Kid Vishis is going pound for pound with your favorite MC out now.

Timing Is Everything descends this Tuesday, July 22.
