All is well for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie on the American front. As for the Paramount Pictures team in Australia, their oversight for the most horrific attack to ever happen to the country has them issuing out an apology.

The Michael Bay film is slated for a Down Under September 11 release date and to promote the movie, the promotional materials have already started to circulate. Only problem is, the viral poster depicted an image of the heroes in a half shell jumping from a burning skyscraper. Apparently, only a Yankee can connect the dots.

After the ParamountAU Twitter account took a brutal beating, the studio sent a statement to Buzzfeed, explaining their mistake.

“We are deeply sorry to have used that artwork for the marketing materials promoting the September 11 opening in Australia. Combining that image and date was a mistake. We intended no offense and have taken immediate action to discontinue its use.”

Now that’s cleared up, the TMNT reboot releases August 8. Go see it in ‘Merica. And hit the next page to see the controversial picture.
