Struggle rappers are clearly their own worst enemies. Early Saturday morning (August 2), while on the set of their video in the Bronx, two rappers got into argument over who was better, and one shot the other.

Reports the New York Daily News:

Around 30 people were filming a low-budget video on Webster Ave. near E. 170 St. around 1:15 a.m. when two of the men began quarreling, said Ali Abdul, 41, who owns a deli on the block.

The fight then spilled into Abdul’s business.

“They were fighting over who’s the star, who’s better,” said Abdul. “They were drunk. They spit at each other then one guy pulled out a gun and shot the other guy five times.”

Not only did the shooter manage to hit his victim in the chest and graze him in the head, he proceeded to pistol whip his bleeding buddy, too.

According to Abdul, he recognized the two men from around the way and said they were “best friends.”

Evidently, not so much.

According to police, the shooter, who eventually fled, is a black man, about 30-years old, 5-foot-10 and weighs between 180 to 210 pounds. Also, he has braids and was wearing a red red polo shirt, gray sweatpants and black-and-white kicks, making him look like thousands of struggle rappers.
