Nas’ Lollapalooza afterparty in Chicago began as a soiree to celebrate a great weekend, but ended with tragic results. A man by the name of Martrell Ross was fatally gunned down.

The events transpired at Bodi Nightclub, where Ross, 32, was found shot in a nearby alley at about 3:50 AM, reports DNAinfo Chicago. A second victim — his name is unknown, but is said to be 21-years-old — was found on a nearby sidewalk. He’s now in the hospital in serious condition.

According to WGN, the men were spotted arguing in the party prior to the shooting. Police fired on a man they saw fleeing the scene on foot, but he got away unscathed.

Bodi was the unofficial locale for the Lollapalooza after party, which Nas was slated to host.

Ross and the other injured party were among four murdered and 22 wounded over the weekend, continuing the trend of violence  in the Windy City.
