Twenty-Five years later, Spike Lee’s iconic 1989 film, Do The Right Thing, still resonates across generations. Packed with powerful imagery, the renowned director takes fans back to the Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn block that it was filmed at –Stuyvesant Avenue, between Quincy and Lexington Streets– in a short documentary.

Lee reconnects with members of the cast and crew, including Danny Aiello (“Sal”), Bill Nunn (“Radio Raheem”), and production designer Wynn Thomas. The proud Brooklyn native and company share anecdotes about things like the camaraderie on set and more. People who live on the street (some of whom lived there while the film was shot) also spoke about how Lee’s heralded work still affects things to this day.

Later, viewers will see a recap of the Do The Right Thing 25th anniversary block party, featuring appearances by Chuck D, Yasiin Bey, Erykah Badu, and Dave Chappelle to name a few. Presented by Beats Music, watch the footage below.
