Gentrification in New York City, particularly Brooklyn, has been an ongoing topic of conversation among natives, who’ve seen their neighborhoods change for the “better” with little regard for their personal wishes. But two Flatbush women refused to take this trend sitting down, as they were arrested for allegedly robbing their white neighbors at gunpoint and forcing them out of their apartment.

According to New York Daily News, Precious Parker, 30, and Sabrina James, 23, came knocking on the door of a unit housing a 34-year-old man, a 37-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman on Thursday night (September 4). Police reports say the two women came bearing a message: move out or be killed.

“They just left,” a night porter said, referencing how quickly the tenants vacated the premises. “They said somebody wants to kill them.”

Another source cited that one of the women stated that they were unhappy “that white people were moving into the area,” according to police.

Parker and James are said to have sat comfortably in the apartment until police arrived the following Saturday (September 6). The twosome have been charged with charged with robbery (they’re accused of stealing $800, an iPhone, and personal information) and unlawful imprisonment.
