Marlene Pinnock, the woman who endured an one-man-esque Rodney King beating at the hands of a California Highway police officer, has received some closure of sorts from the July 1 incident.

Pinnock, 51, just settled a lawsuit with the department for $1.5 million, which the bulk will go to any post-injuries she may suffer from the violent attack.

“He grabbed me, he threw me down, he started beating me, he beat me. I felt like he was trying to kill me, beat me to death,” Pinnock told The Associated Press directly after the video went viral. Her attorney Caree Harper says she now slurs her speech after being in the hospital for weeks.

According to Raw Story, California Highway Patrol Commissioner Joe Farrow state the officer who beat Pinnock resigned.

The video of that attack is in the YouTube player below. Let us know if you feel if she was gypped out of any settlement money in the comment section.
