Another day, another rapper gets popped for gun possession, at an airport. Like Too Short before him, Waka Flocka Flame inexplicably brought a gun to the airport, and was promptly arrested for his struggle.

Reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Atlanta-based rapper Waka Flocka Flame was arrested Friday for allegedly having a handgun inside his carry-on bag at the airport, according to police.

The weapon was located in a domestic checkpoint lane at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Officer Ralph Woolfolk with Atlanta police said.

The rapper, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, did not have a weapons permit, Woolfolk said. Malphurs, 28, of McDonough, was arrested and charged with carrying a weapon in a prohibited place, according to police.

Waka was transported to the Clayton County jail, where he was awaiting a bond hearing Friday afternoon, records showed.

Is it really that difficult to leave your firearm at home? Did he not notice the bag’s extra weight? Did he not see the “No Firearms” beyond this point sign?

So many questions.
