Now that the professional sports stage has moved to Sunday, a pair of NFL stars were spotted around the league, following Derrick Rose in silent protesting with Eric Garner “I Can’t Breathe” shirts.

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush warmed up in his team’s Honolulu Blue long-sleeved tee with Garner’s last words written across the front as they went on to smash the Tampa Bay Buccaners 34-17 at home. Elsewhere, Cleveland Browns safety Johnson Bademosi was also spotted wearing a custom-made tribute, as his team was barely edged by the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 25-24.

This stance of solidarity is being felt severely across the country as protests nationwide are dominating newsfeeds. Garner, a 400-pound man from Staten Island, was killed on July 17 after a police officer choked him out for selling loose cigarettes, causing him to die at the scene from an apparent heart attack.

Although his death was ruled a homicide, a Staten Island grand jury cleared the officer from any charges, sending the country into a state of civil unrest.

Check out the pictures of Bush and Bademosi taking a silent stand for the greater good below.
