It looks like the Hip-Hop Police are still in full effect in NYC. “Hot Boy” rapper Bobby Shmurda’s arrest early this morning (Dec. 17) was part of an ongoing investigation involving narcotics trafficking and shootings in Brookling. 

According to the New York Daily News, Bobby Shmurda and 14 members of his GS9 crew were arrested.

This is where we say…that’s a lot of weed carriers and baggage handlers. His overhead must be crazy.

Reportedly, the posse deep entourage were caught packing plenty of firearms. According to authorities, 16 weapons were confiscated. Right, 15 15 people arrested and 16 guns means someone was pulling double duty.

Police are still searching for two suspects, with one being a parole violator. Also arrested was record exec Sha Money XL, formerly of G-Unit, who signed Shmurda to Epic Records. According to DNA Info, rapper Rowdy Rebel, born Chad Marshall, was arrested and the tally of guns was actually 20.

The bust went down at Quad Studios, and was centered on an unsealed indictment according to Kati Cornell, a spokeswoman for the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. Shmurda, born Ackquille Pollard, is one of the defendants in the indictment. The investigation spans violent incidents in Brooklyn including drug trafficking and shootings.

Bobby Shmurda fans better hope he has a good lawyer. Shmurda is schedule to be arraigned on Thursday morning, which is also when the indictment will be unsealed.
