Trouble in paradise? That appears to be the case as longtime friends and front runners in the West Coast rap movement, DJ Mustard and YG, are at odds over funds received.

The tift began on Instagram within the past hour, when Mustard wrote a message saying “Stop asking me about the YG sh*t. I don’t know about none of it on top of that I still ain’t got paid for his album! So I don’t give a f*ck!!!!!”

His post has since been taken down, but not before YG caught wind and provided a rebuttal. “Wait what? @djmustard F*CK YOU NI**A,” the Compton rapper wrote before continuing, “F*CK EVERYBODY THATT AINT GOT PAID FOR MY ALBUM and DJ MUSTARD I KNOW WHERE YO STUDIO AT NI**A. & …….. THATS ME SAYIN “MUSTARD ON THE BEAT HOE”. YOU AINT NEVER PAID ME FOR THATT OR YO ALBUM NI**A.”

Well, that escalated quickly. The war of words between the duo, who usually seem harmonious, didn’t end there. Mustard clapped back, challenging the bubbling rap star to show face and square up face to face. “I’m finna pull up we can squabble up !!!,” the producer said, also stating “this won’t be the first time.”

Hopefully, this argument concludes with words, or at the very worst brothers duking it out and eventually going back to work. Anything past that would be wack. And that’s without mentioning that Mustard and YG, who set rap on its ear with multiple hit records and the latter’s critically acclaimed debut My Krazy Life, planned to keep the output coming in with a potential group album with Ty Dolla $ign in 2015.
