Cortez Bryant is clearly team Lil Wayne. After previously stating his client and Cash Money Records had no issues, Weezy’s longtime manager has confirmed the problems the rapper has with the label that Birdman helped build.

Bryant, a childhood friend of Tunechi, took to Instagram to present his side of the story.

“@LilTunechi built Young Money from his dreams to reality. Launched the careers of @Drake @NICKIMINAJ @Tyga not from their talent but from the belief in what he saw that they saw in themselves and put everything in making sure they fulfill their dreams!,” read part of Cortez’s statement.

He added, “Wayne carried Cash Money on his back for over 10 years when he could have left and did this on his own The most loyal person I know on earth! He don’t deserve the sh*t he’s going through at this point in the game.”

Bryant went on to add that he and Mack Maine plan on fighting not to let Weezy’s “dream die” and to “unlock these chains.”

It’s a safe bet that mean getting Tha Carter V released and or finagling Lil Wayne off of the Cash Money Records label. Lil Wayne just dropped a new song, “Sh!t Remix” from his forthcoming Sorry For The Wait 2 mixtape.
