Greg Anthony won’t be commentating on any basketball games anytime soon. The 47-year-old sports analyst and former NBA player has been suspended by CBS and Turner Sports after being popped for soliciting a prostitute in a Washington, DC hotel.
Reports the New York Post:
“Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season,” a network spokeswoman said.
Anthony, 47, was also suspended from Turner Sports, which wouldn’t comment on the arrest.
The married father of four was arrested inside a DoubleTree by Hilton at 5:46 p.m. Friday on the misdemeanor solicitation charge, which carries a jail sentence of up to 90 days.
His arrest was part of an undercover sting conducted by Washington, DC, cops, authorities said.
Anthony admitted to the foul on Saturday.
“I made a mistake,” he said in a statement. “With this lapse of judgment, I embarrassed many, including myself. I will work to regain the trust that I have lost, and the first step is saying that I am sorry.”
