The hype leading up to WWE’s 2015 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event was massive and overwhelming for fans. In the end, the annual brouhaha, which serves as the lead-in to WrestleMania, was found to be unsatisfactory at best.

The Philadelphia audience witnessed Roman Reigns’ hand raised in the air by his cousin (and former WWE Heavyweight Champion) Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — and weren’t impressed. By the end of the World Wrestling Entertainment’s battle royal, fans took to their website in droves to cancel their service to the WWE Network.

The trend not only crashed the company’s website, but also sparked the hashtag #CancelWWENetowrk that trended worldwide by the night’s end. According to wrestling blogs, those spectating at the festivity were chanting out loud for refunds as fans bombarded the website. Sunday night’s fiasco was the latest leg drop in a long line of clotheslines for the WWE since the company launched a subscription-based digital network last year.

The WWE Network has yet to largely win over its own base, as subscribers have complained about navigational issues, website problems, and horrible service. Disappointing subscription numbers sent stock prices tumbling and lead to large-scale layoffs at the Connecticut-based company.

At the time of press, the hashtag is still trending on Twitter with people still commenting their frustrations about the WWE Network. We spotlighted some of the most interesting tweets for your perusal in the pages below.
