It’s hard to believe that Bobby Shmurda still hasn’t made bail but such is life for the “Hot Ni**a” rapper. Nonetheless, the 20-year-old overnight sensation born Ackquille Jean Pollard seemed to be in good spirits during his interview with Billboard over the weekend.

Social media can be a powerful thing–for spreading lies–and while young Bobby has avoided the vicious dropping-the-soap rumor, it has been alleged that he took a knife to the gut sometime during his now two-month stay at Rikers Island. Not only is that rumor false, but he’s actually admitted that his fellow inmates are treating him right.

“It’s nothing but rumors, man. I’m good,” he tells Billboard’s Ada Calhoun in response to the stabbing rumors. “Everybody knows I’m good. I’m chilling. We over here — we over here thugging it out, man. I get a lot of love in here.”

Shmurda has been incarcerated since December 2014 on 70 charges, with the most serious accusations being murder, conspiracy and gun possession. He recently hired bail bondsman to the stars, Ira Judelson who filed a $2 million bail package on his behalf, but as it stands, that seems to be money well wasted.

“When I see the judge and the DA, I just see a bunch of people [who are] trying to take my life away for being blessed,” Shmurda says, revealing his feelings. “That’s what I look at when I look at them. It looks like a bunch of haters.”
