Like 2015 NBA All-Star game MVP Russell Westbrook boldly mentioned during his halftime interview, the talk of the town has become a player’s fashion sense. Most of the top individuals in the league entrusted 23-year old custom clothing veteran and Alba Legacy Chief Visionary, Jhoanna Alba and her Alba Bespoke team to design and coordinate their off-the-court attire. Over the course of the lightenening fast weekend, she collaborated custom outfits for over 32 athletes, artists and celebrities at this year’s festivities including the TNT televised LeBron James All-Star Fashion Show and all red carpet or private events leading up to the finale game night including GRAMMY weekend in Los Angeles a week prior.

Athletes and artists included but not limited to: Magic Johnson, Quincy, Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, John Wall, Jon Barry, Anthony Davis, Charlie Villanueva, Lance Fresh, Zach Lavine and dozens more.

With the old high school fear of wearing the same outfit to prom, most high profile talent are paying the higher costs to create unique, one of a kind pieces to stand apart from the rest. Seems like a good decision as most of those with customed design pieces are the ones that frequent the “best dressed” list via judge scoring, public opinion and the biggest of fashion critiques.
