Philadelphia police arrested and charged one of the men involved in the altercation outside of Che Bar and Grill that claimed the life of Nicki Minaj’s tour manager De’Von Pickett.

ABC 6 reports that 31-year-old Pierce Boykin was arrested Monday (Feb. 23) and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, terroristic threats and simple assault.

The omission of a murder charge lies in the police’s belief that Boykin stabbed Eric Parker, who was listed in critical condition in the aftermath, while another assailant is responsible for Pickett’s stabbing death.

Brooklyn natives Pickett, 29, and Parker, 27, were in Philly to rehearse for the European leg of Nicki’s upcoming The Pinkprint European tour. Police say the duo got into a dispute with local men in the bar over a woman worked there.

“Both of the parties both knew a female who worked at the bar, and the arguments centered around her,” explained Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark.

The verbal altercation moved all parties outside of the venue, where things quickly became physical.
