Yesterday, news broke that R&B singer Angie Stone had been arrested on Monday night (March 9) for assaulting her 30-year-old daughter Diamond Stone. The latter, whose teeth were knocked out, has spoken out, via her Faebook page, stating that she “cannot take anymore abuse” and shown off her injuries from the altercation.

People are so quick to pass judgment but never really know the full story. Never uphold people in wrong no matter who they are I’m crushed but I ain’t dead so for the people that praise “her” keep right on just know that it ain’t over. You so big and bad but had to use a weapon on me in a fight that you started. You giggled on the inside because you thought I was going to jail too.?#?Wrong? I’m sick of putting up these fronts and because you took shit to another level I will too. I love all my family but I cannot take anymore abuse so I’m separating myself from it all. I pray God heals us from this but from where I sit there is no turning back cause if you ain’t wit me you against me. You so worried about to media and the press but I promise you this I will not rest until my story is heard!
Diamond also shared photos of the teeth that fell out of her mouth and the metal plank that Angie used to strike her.
The argument started because Angie Stone felt Diamond wasn’t cleaning up after her children…plural.
Reports the Atlanta-Journal Constitution:
According to a DeKalb County police incident report, Angie Stone said Diamond Stone hit her in the face with closed fists first. Diamond Stone and Blondy Chisolm, a family friend who witnessed the Monday night altercation, told police they were not sure who threw the first blow.
The spat, according to Diamond Stone, started when Angie Stone entered her daughter’s room, demanded that she clean it up and ordered her to control her children, who were running around the singer’s Rogers Lake Road home half naked.
“Ms. Diamond Stone then went on to state that Ms. Angie Stone started (getting) in her face, telling her she needed to leave because she is tired (of) her,” police said in the report. “Ms. Diamond Stone then stated her and Ms. Angie Stone started to argue, and that’s when a physical altercation started to occur.”
We would never condone violence. But you gotta wonder why a grown woman is living up in her momma’s crib with her children running around half naked, allegedly.
