Last night (May 19), A$AP Rocky rocked the stage at Samsung’s Milk Music Lounge at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Tex., and more than anything else, it was great to see him happy.

Rocky was last spotted on stage at Sundance, following a two-song performance that was cut abruptly short during the screening for his upcoming acting debut Dope. Noticeably shaken, the Harlem rapper said the public appearance was “to stop me from crying,” a day ahead of Steven “A$AP Yams” Rodriguez’s funeral.

Two months later, Rocky appeared triumphant alongside his A$AP Mob brethren, drenched in the bravado that made him an appealing act in the first place.

Later in the night, he revealed to Billboard that is album is currently in mastering and will release “soon,” though it’s unclear if he’s use the currently favored element of surprise. That self-described PMF also said that FKA Twigs, Juicy J (“Multiply”), Lykke Li, and more will make guest appearances.

The upcoming project is executive produced by Dangermouse and A$AP Yams.
