A blogging mother’s decision to showcase her pole dancing skills with her baby strapped to her back as her admirers and haters engaged in an online war over the viral video.
Ashley Wright is no stranger to being center stage on the Internet. A couple of years ago, before her child was born, she conducted a similar pole dancing routine while pregnant. This time around however, CBS, Huffington Post, Examiner and Buzzfeed and have sung her praises, bringing her a newfound sense of criticism.
Wright has been thanking her supporter but also took time to address the criticism she’s gotten.
“It is no surprise that many are put-off, and even more confused, by this shared display of divine femininity, sensual acceptance, power and open, unapologetic love for self and for my child. Unfortunately, many did not receive nor have bared witness to this form of love and therefore only see what is they can connect with; shame … I do not expect everyone to understand me nor my ‘parenting style’ for progression is few for most,” she said on her Facebook page.
