The X-Files—the wildly popular series featuring Fox Mulder, Dana Scully and little green men, sort of—is officially coming back to television. It’s not a reboot, but a limited series. 

Reports Vulture:

The X-Files is officially coming back for a six-episode “event series,” Fox announced today. There’s no air date yet, but the show goes into production this summer, and Chris Carter, Gillian Anderson, and David Duchovny are all onboard. Light up your Morleys and celebrate.

The X-Files ran for nine seasons on FOX from 1994 until 2002. The wildly popular series sparked a pair of feature films; 1998’s The X-Files and 2008’s I Want To Believe.
