Russell Westbrook is currently in the thick of a very tight MVP race but back in February, he was hands down the league’s best during the 2015 NBA All-Star Game where he earned the game’s most valuable player award.

His prize was a brand new Kia Sorento provided by the league’s official sponsor. Since he obviously doesn’t need it, he made sure to give it to someone who actually does.

Reports FOXCt:

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook was named the team’s most valuable player, but it’s what he did off the court that is getting him some attention.

The player donated his MVP car to a single mother of two.

Westbrook surprised Kerstin Gonzales with the Kia on Monday. The team posted pictures of the gift-giving on Instagram. The team posted that Westbrook wanted to honor Kerstin for “all the hard work she’s done to keep her family together. I just want to be able to help others any way I can.”

“Today was a good stepping stone to show her everything is going to be all right,” Westbrook said.
