NYC nightspot  1 OAK was too lit last night. Reportedly, Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland was stabbed there last night and a pair of Atlanta Hawks got arrested. No, they didn’t do it.

Reports the New York Daily News:

Chris Copeland, a former member of the New York Knicks now playing for the Indiana Pacers, was stabbed in the abdomen during an argument at 1 OAK club in Chelsea early Wednesday, cop sources said.

Copeland’s attacker was arrested, and two members of the Atlanta Hawks, Pero Antić and Thabo Sefolosha, were also booked, for trying to prevent police from setting up a crime scene, the sources said.

As Copeland was leaving with his wife, and argument broke out with the assailant. Copeland’s wife was slashed in the arm during the incident.

The man who was arrested, Shezoy Bleary, 22, pulled out a knife and stabbed Copeland, 31, and slashed Saltara, 28, in the arm and leg, the sources said. A second woman, Catherine Somani, 53, who was with Bleary, was slashed in the abdomen, the sources said. One source said investigators believe she was slashed by accident.

Copeland was in town because the Pacers are set to play the New York Knicks tonight (April 8). The Atlanta Hawks are schedule to play the Brooklyn Nets tonight.

All the victims were rushed to local hospitals and are in stable condition.
