Netflix is not only becoming an alterative for anticipated TV shows to become created, it’s becoming the go-to platform.

Thirteen episodes for a Full House spinoff has just been ordered by everyone’s favorite movie streaming service.

Reports Boston Globe:

Cut. It. Out. On “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Monday night, John Stamos announced that Netflix has ordered a “Full House” spinoff — “Fuller House” — that will premiere in 2016. Candice Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber — DJ Tanner, sister Stephanie Tanner, and friend Kimmy Gibler, respectively — are set to star. Stamos is a producer and a guest star, reprising his role as Jesse Katsopolis. Stamos said there will be an hour-long special to launch the 13-episode series. No other former stars of the show have yet to sign on.

“Full House,” which ran from 1987-1995, was a show about a father (Danny Tanner, played by Bob Saget) who raised three daughters alone after his wife died. His brother-in-law (Katsopolis, played by Stamos) and friend (Joey Gladstone, played by Dave Coulier) moved into his large home in San Francisco to help. Other main characters included the youngest Tanner sister, Michelle (played by twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), and Jesse’s wife (Rebecca Katsopolis, played by Lori Loughlin).

“Fuller House” will mimic the plotline of “Full House”: DJ is a widowed mother of two boys and is pregnant with a third. Her sister, Stephanie, and Kimmy move in to help her care for the children.

Stamos has been hitting that the Full House spinoff would become a reality in the past few months; visiting the San Francisco home that made the show possible and dropping clues with TMZ in the airport.
