The legal woes of Atlanta rap trio Migos have been a topic of discussion despite two of the members going free on bail after their arrest in Georgia last month. The remaining jailed member, Offset, claims that a documentary the group starred in was the reason why police in the state came down so hard on them with the charges.

According to a report from HipHopEarly, Offset called into Hot 107.9’s The Durrty Boyz radio show and shared what he could about the case and what he feels was an epic setup by Noisey to make the Migos appear to be nothing more than gun-toting gangsters. Offset, who says he intends to go free in about three weeks, issued claims of racism and said that others are looking to make him look bad in the eyes of the laws.

From HipHopEarly:

Offset, the only Migos member still in prison on the guns and drugs charges the group caught last month, called into the Dirty Boyz radio show to talk about his case.

Offset was denied bail for the second time last week, which he attributed to the fallout from a jail house scuffle.

But he believes he will make bail at his next hearing, which should come in two to three weeks.

Offset told the Dirty Boyz that he’s innocent of the charges and that his arrest was “racist”. He also pointed the finger at Vice’s Noisey Atlanta documentary, in which the Migos members flashed guns and other trappings of the trap lifestyle.

Offset, who has past criminal charges, added that prosecutors seem hell-bent on presenting the group’s negative side and bringing up video and other material unrelated to the current case. As noted by the outlet, it was on the Migos to let Noisey into their mansion and show off the weapons. In fact, portions of the video appeared to highlight that the heavy artillery was a bragging point. Does Offset have a point, however?
