Aside from being a basketball wife in real life, La La Anthony has evolved into an accomplished author, actor and entrepreneur. But in 2007 when she was a MTV VJ, she moonlighted as a mixtape rapper.

Yes you read that correctly. Once upon a time La La was rhyming. On a Peedi Crakk mixtape titled Prince Of The Roc 2, “La Eaze” laid down some witty but nevertheless struggle raps over MC Lyte’s classic “Paper Thin”.

“Every verse is a gift / and close your mouth when we purchasing sh*t / and I told you this b*tch could rip / check my dress with the matching slips / now close your lips (shhhhh)”

Umm yeah. Maybe the MTV association wasn’t enough street credibility for her? Nevertheless we are glad she did not take this endeavor too seriously as to our knowledge this was her first and last attempt at recording any material.
