It has been more than 20 years since Warren G simultaneously made a name for himself and Long Beach City with his debut album, Regulate…G Funk Era (which featured the eponymous hit, “Regulate”). For his next project, the G-Child is revisiting his classic roots and announcing Regulate…G Funk Era Part II with a special twist. The late, great Nate Dogg still has some unreleased vocals in the vault and they will be used for the upcoming EP, which drops on August 6. If that isn’t enough nostalgia to get your juices pumping, the album cover is a clear ode to the OG artwork where photographer Michael Miller managed to capture the essence of the LBC streets in a gritty shot.

Regulate…G Funk Era Part II‘s first single, “My House” has already been released on iTunes and as promised, it employs a laid-back Nate Dogg overtop a fresh West Coast sonic creation. To promote the extended player, Warren will be hitting New York City on August 9 on Los Angeles on August 13 for special shows.

But that’s not all. Hip-Hop Wired was recently in the studio with Too $hort when Warren arrived on the scene and he previewed a new banger tentatively titled “Saturday” with the Oakland veteran, E-40 and of course, Nate D-O double G. Sounds like another winner.
