With every passing year, NBA fans continue to engage in unsolvable arguments, comparing players from totally different eras and generations. It’s all fun and games amongst passionate sports fans but when actually players get involved, some real emotions might get involved.

Shaquille O’Neal and Scottie Pippen are the latest former NBA stars to engage in some heated trash talk over the never-ending question of “who would have beat who.” It all began yesterday when the most dominant center ever posted his personal five best Los Angeles Lakers off all-time (Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor, himself and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) pitted up against Chicago Bulls’ legends Derrick Rose, Michael Jordan, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman and Pippen.

“We would beat em by fifty –‘what you think’. Let me know and don’t hold back,” Shaq captioned, amassing more than 22,000 comments on the subject. Pippen quickly fired back with a photo of him and Jordan celebrating one of their many June victories with, “Sorry @shaq but I don’t get caught up in hypotheticals. All I know is we won 6 titles, twice the amount you claimed while in LA…”

And from that point on, the gloves were off. Shaq quickly dismissed Pippen’s role in the Bulls’ championship runs, calling him nothing more than MJ’s lackey. Pippen didn’t stand for this; as he pointed out that Shaq also had a confident teammate during most of his 19-year NBA career.

Peep the Shaq Vs. Scottie Pippen debate in the gallery and let us know who would win between those Legend Lakers and Championship Bulls. That last post Shaq is a killer, though.
