Two dudes got arrested for allegedly running a meth lab out of an Iowa Taco Bell. By the way, this is probably not what the company meant when they said: “think outside the bun.”

Reports KCCI:

Authorities say two men have been arrested after the remnants of a methamphetamine lab were found inside a Taco Bell in eastern Iowa.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department says officers found two men outside the restaurant early Tuesday. One identified himself as a Taco Bell employee.

Officers entered the closed restaurant and found meth lab remnants in a utility area.

The men were identified as 31-year-old Christopher Adam Matous and 56-year-old Kent Jerome Duby.

They were arrested and charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. Matous faces additional charges including meth possession. Court records do not list attorneys who could comment for the men.

The one guy who worked at Taco Bell was obviously fired, and the company sanitized the restaurant before it reopened.

UPDATE: Taco Bell sent us a statement reiterating that “remnants” of a meth lab was found in location, as the story already states. The company also added the following statement: “We understand that two people, one an employee, entered our franchisee’s restaurant illegally, allegedly possessing suspicious items. Both we and our franchisee find this completely unacceptable. Our franchisee has been cooperating with Cedar Rapids Police to investigate this isolated incident. Although the suspicious items found in the restaurant were not used in the kitchen, the employee has been terminated and our franchisee is considering pressing criminal charges. The restaurant will reopen after it has been sanitized inspected by the Health Department.”
