Ice Cube is absolutely dismantling Hollywood, the same way he used to the rap game when he first burst out of the gate. The Hip-Hop legend is currently promoting the story of his legendary start with Straight Outta Compton, but his next flick is already set in stone.

We’re talking about Ride Along 2, the sequel to 2014’s box-office comedy smash. Cube returns as James Payton, an undercover Atlanta police officer who cynically takes his aspiring cop brother-in-law (played by Kevin Hart) through a day in the life on the force when things unexpectedly getting too close for comfort. On a $25 million budget, the film gross more than $125 million worldwide so the follow-up is more than warranted in this instance.

The first installment of the movie also broke the Martin Luther Day Weekend box-office record.

Tim Story is also back as director with some fresh news faces in Olivia Munn, Ken Jeong and Benjamin Bratt.

Look for Ride Along 2 to attempt to duplicate its MLK holiday success on January 15, 2016. Check out the poster below via the official movie’s Facebook page. The trailer will reportedly be released on Thursday, August 13.
