Don’t expect Straight Outta Compton mania to slow down anytime soon. The studio actually raked in $60.2 million during the weekend, opposed to the $56.1 million that was initially reported. And FX is already looking deep into the future by snagging up the exclusive U.S. commercial TV premiere rights down the line.

Even with all the universal acclaim, if there is one discrepancy the people appear to agree on is the casting of Snoop Dogg in the film. Nipsey Hussle reportedly turned down the role and the part was subsequently earned by relative newcomer, Keith Stanfield.

The 24-year-old California native has already garnered attention by appearing in winning films such as Selma and Dope but audiences generally believed that he didn’t look like the Doggystyle creator (despite his mannerisms being on point) and have been since been sending him hate mail on Twitter.

Fed up, Stanfield lashed out to whomever it may concern in a single tweet which read, “I know I don’t look like Snoop, I’m very aware of that BUT OH WELL I STILL GOT TO PLAY THE NI**A GO CRY SOMEWHERE AND BE MAD.”

Actors Mack Wilds, Manny Montana and even Cordozar himself have all given Stanfield the co-sign, so he gon be alright © Kendrick Lamar.

Check out some of the reactions to the Straight Outta Compton Snoop Dogg in the gallery below.
