The Hip-Hop world got a scare when Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle accident in New Jersey on Saturday (Sept. 26). While he recuperates in a hospital from his injuries, he got hit with three traffic summonses for the accident.

Reports the Associated Press:

Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale says the 25-year-old Wap was cited for driving without a license, not having insurance and failing to produce a vehicle registration card.

Wap was hospitalized after police say his motorcycle collided with a car Saturday afternoon. Police said his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, has had three Top-10 songs in the last year and released his debut album “Fetty Wap” on Friday.

Reportedly, the woman driving the car was also hurt in the collision.

“Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today (Sept. 26),” read a statement from his reps released shortly after the accident. “He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available.”

Fetty took to Instagram to thanks his fans for their prayers, and also revealed that his leg was broken in three places.
