The Beats By Dre Pill portable speaker got a bit bigger and is still boasting maximum sound despite the small packaging. The new Pill+ officially arrives next month.

Perhaps the biggest change in the Beats By Dre Pill+ from its predecessor is that the buttons are now at the top of the device. The design is still slim enough to toss in a bag before you head out the door while it touts 12 hours of battery life and takes about three hours to get a full charge.

Also announced today is a Beats Pill+ app for iOS and Android devices. The app will let you control up to two Bluetooth devices at a time (allowing you to pair speakers), create playlists to get your DJ and overall control and manage your Pill+.

The Beats Pill+ will cost you $229.95 at retail, come in black or white (more colors are sure to follow) and will be available to cop at Apple.com and your go to Beats retailers starting next month.

Check out details images of the Beats Pill+ below and on the flip.
