Cam and Allison’s first date, M-Chuck gets her head shrank, and Julius sees a different side of police profiling as we recap the latest episode of Survivor’s Remorse.

Do Your Research

Cam finally gets his chance at a first date with Allison. In order to be prepared, Cam does what anyone in 2015 will do to ascertain more about Allison: he Googles her. Reggie thinks that Cam should discover more about Allison organically rather than treat the date as a research paper. Cam thinks Reggie’s been out of the game too long, and shows a bikini pic of Allison to prove that Googling has its advantages. They agree somewhere in the middle and Cam continues his background check.

Reverse Profiling

Julius has the house to himself, but his bliss of solitude is disturbed when a kid steals his bike right in front of his house. The cops arrive and he informs them of what happens. Julius goes on a ride along with the cops to find the kid, but soon discovers that he created a witch hunt. The cops go around the neighborhood looking for white kids in hoodies who may have stole his bike, and of course mistaken identity comes into play. This is a hilarious juxtaposition of everything going on today with police brutality and gave a great spin on the episode.

Chicken Soup For The Soul

Mary Charles attends therapy as part of the settlement involving her fight with Cam. She returns with a clearer mind, extolling the virtues of therapy and her lessons learned. Cassie takes exception to her newfound clarity, as she likens psychiatrists to charlatans who turn families against one another. M-Chuck and Cassie’s exchange proves that the two have unresolved issues, stemming from M-Chuck’s childhood. As a single mother, Cassie worked while Mary Charles raised Cam, and felt slighted throughout most of her teenage life. The most interesting aspect of this conflict is that according to Reggie M-Chuck hasn’t been attending therapy at all! So where has she gone this entire time?

To Have Loved And Lost

Cam meets Allison at her apartment, where Allison admits that agreeing to the date was a mistake. She feels that her and Cam live in totally different worlds, and colliding the two wouldn’t be prudent. How did she come to this conclusion? Google of course! Cam pleads his case, stating that he’s different and that she should give him a chance. Allison remains defiant until Cam pleads his case clever enough that she decides to take him up on that date.

During the date, they end up running into the same kid who stole Uncle Julius’s bike, during another heist where he injures a woman. Cam and Allison go to assist and the woman assumes they are married due to their natural chemistry. Is this a sign of the future or a foreshadow to eventual struggle? Only two episodes left in the season to find out!
