After receiving backlash for her comments that she would willingly discriminate against someone whose name she considered “ghetto” on the The View, on Sunday (Oct. 11) Raven-Symone has issued a statement. Without ever actually apologizing or saying “My bad,” the actress and noted racial profile admitted her comment was in “poor taste.”
Raven-Symone issued her statement last night via Facebook. She started by saying she’s not like, self-racist or anything like that, and copped numerous please.
“I’d like to begin by saying that I was not attacking a specific race, but repeating a name that was said in a viral video which has received over 2 million likes,” she wrote.
Her statement comes after Black Twitter dragged her, as usual, but it might have been her own father writing “She Says Some Dumb S#%T!” that finally got Raven-Symone to comment.
Also, the real Watermelondrea probably doesn’t approve.
